Week 42

A lot of fishing wire and black and white this week as I tried to get a photo for the Canon photo competition this week!  I have entered a photo now (not on here yet) after tossing up between that one and the one on the 13th - hoping I made the right decision!

 

Still loving my macro lens and it is making me look at things in a different way.

Week 41

I seem to be having an unofficial theme of black and white this week as I try and get my head around black and white photo's for the Canon photo competition.  I have also finally got a new version of Photoshop (I was on version 2 - it is now up to version 11 - safe to say things have changed a wee bit).  So once I get my head around how that works I may start trying out a few things with that...  At the moment though - just opening it is challenging enough!

Week 40

Week 40 - only 12 more weeks till the end of the year!!  It's gone so fast and I can't wait to see it all put together at the end of the year - like some of the others doing this challenge with me I think I am going to put it all together in a book..

No work this week with School Holidays and a trip to Rotorua with the family meant that I had lots of chances to get photo's (click here for some more pictures from Rotorua).

We spent the last week in Rotorua for School holidays.  So many great things to do and take photo's of - here are some of my favourites...

Week 39

So this week I got a new macro lens for my birthday so not surprisinly 6 out of my 7 pictures this week are taken using my new amazing macro lens!

I can't say I am a super fan of bugs but they are awesome to photograph with a macro lens and it gets you thinking about things in a whole new way.

Week 38

Another busy week with everyone sick and even a trip to hospital with my husband but despite this I have been trying to do more with my photography.

 

I've got quite in to the Canon Photo Competition and working my way through the briefs.  This week I tackled the spaghetti and tissue paper briefs - so much fun and got me thinking about setting up photo's rather than just taking photo's of things I find along the way - I will share the final results when I decide on which ones to use...
